Description

Circa 1838 style of William Robertson, Elgin. 2-storey, 5-bay S-facing long elevation with 2-bay gable end to street. Street gable and angle bay of tooled sandstone ashlar, rubble sandstone elsewhere; tooled and polished ashlar dressings. Bowed and slightly recessed angle

entrance bay with later enlarged console bracketted, corniced and pilastered doorpiece; 2-leaf panelled door. Bandcourse above doorway forming cill band of 1st floor angle window. Long single storey projecting covered passage extension fronts 4 bays of S elevation with present entrance to bank. 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Corniced ridge stack; bowed and piended slate roof; pale pottery ridge. Decorative cast-iron eaves brackets.
