Description

Urquhart Manse is a building dating from 1822, likely designed by William Robertson in Elgin. It features a harled exterior with ashlar margins and angle strips. The structure is two storeys high, with a basement and attic, and consists of three bays. The central entrance is highlighted by a pilastered and corniced doorpiece, flanked by canted bay windows added in the later 19th century. There are also two later 19th century canted dormers. At the east gable, there is a single storey and basement semi-octagonal addition. The building has an eaves band and cornice, and the first floor windows retain their original 12-pane glazing pattern.
