Description

The dovecot at Glebe House, also known as Urquhart Manse, dates from the early 19th century. It is a small square structure with a pyramidal roof, situated at the corner of the Manse's walled garden. The dovecot is constructed from clay and dab, with a harled finish. Inside, there are 32 nesting boxes in the upper half of the cote, as the intermediate ceiling has been demolished. The nesting boxes are made from a clay mix with wooden or stone slab horizontals. There are pairs of flight holes on the south and west elevations. The roof is covered with Banffshire slate and features a modern weathervane.
