Description
Mill of Auchinbade is a late 18th century, two-storey mill featuring an overshot waterwheel and an adjoining kiln, which is built into a bank. The mill has been derelict since 1914. It has a rectangular plan, and the kiln is roofless. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble with stugged sandstone dressings. There is a doorway on the south side that breaks the eaves in a piended dormerhead, along with a small window for the kiln. The waterwheel is located on the west gable, and there is a window at the gablehead. The north side has irregular fenestration.
Inside, some machinery remains, along with an iron mesh kiln floor.
