Description
Mains Of Auchinbadie is a later 18th century farmhouse that has undergone alterations and additions. It is a two-storey building with three broadly spaced bays, finished in white painted harl.
On the southeast elevation, there is a central doorway with roll-moulded jambs, featuring a modern door. The flanking windows have been enlarged and fitted with modern glazing, and there are three windows on the first floor.
The northeast elevation features a semi-circular stair tower at the center of the rear, which has a small opening at the ground level and a window on the first floor. To the left, there is a lean-to addition.
There is a single-storey wing that adjoins at right angles to the east. The first-floor windows are sash and case style with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and renewed end stacks. A garden wall to the south is also ashlar coped.
The interior of the building has been significantly altered.
