Description
Mill of Alliehar is an early 19th-century former mill and kiln that is now disused. The building features random rubble construction with hail-pointed joints. It has a rectangular plan, with the mill located to the west and the kiln to the east.
On the southeast elevation, there is a central doorway flanked by windows, with two additional windows at the first floor of the mill on the left side. The southeast angle is chamfered at the ground level and sweeps to a square shape above.
The east elevation has a small opening at ground level and a window at the first floor of the kiln, which was noted to be in poor condition in 1993. There is a doorway at the center leading to the rear. The millwheel was formerly located at the west gable. The roof has been renewed with slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and skewblocks.
