Description

This building is a former warehouse located at 73-5 Regent Quay in Aberdeen, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is a six-storey structure with a basement and has a rectangular plan divided into four bays. The exterior is made of squared, coursed granite rubble. The fourth bay features a double-leaf door with a forestair and railings, while the second bay has rectangular openings, and smaller square openings are found elsewhere.

The elevation facing Commerce Lane is seven storeys high and has three bays, with a large segmental-arch opening in the center at ground level, and regular loft openings above on each storey. There are small flanking windows on each floor. The west and east elevations display irregular fenestration. The forecourt is paved with granite sets and features a low, coped wall.

The building has brown painted non-traditional windows in the rectangular openings, while predominantly four-pane timber casement windows are used elsewhere. The roof is piended slate, and there are coped wallhead stacks on the east and west elevations.
