Description
This building is a warehouse located on Commercial Road in Penryn, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It features a rock-faced granite ashlar front with a plinth, string courses, and keyed segmental arches. The front gable is made of timber with ashlared boards, while the other elevations are constructed of rubble with granite dressings and lintels. The roof is covered with dry slate, and there is a 20th-century brick stack near the front left corner. The warehouse has a deep rectangular plan, standing three storeys plus an attic, and has a four-window, five-bay front gable end. Each floor has 20th-century two-light windows and a wider doorway on the right, which includes 20th-century vertically glazed doors. The interior retains its original floor and roof structures, but was otherwise refitted in the early 1980s.
