Description

This is an early 19th-century warehouse, later converted into offices in 1989. Constructed of ashlar stone at ground floor level, with brick above in a mixture of English and random bond patterns, the building has a hipped slate roof with stone eaves brackets and two sections of a pedimented parapet. Buttressed corners are prominent features. The warehouse is four storeys high and has ten windows across the first floor. These windows are topped with slightly segmental arches and have restored small-pane sashes. Tiers of loading doors are positioned between windows 2 & 3, 5 & 6, 8 & 9, with some doors altered to windows. The doors are located in slightly projecting bays that are sheltered by the parapets. The ground floor features round-arched doorways in the centre and also within projecting bays, where the masonry is rusticated. The interior has not been inspected.
