Site at 93 Warrenpoint Road, Greenan, Newry, Co Down, BT34 2PS

The site at 93 Warrenpoint Road, Greenan, Newry, was originally occupied by a two-storey house, which was demolished around 1975. The site now contains a modern bungalow. Historical records, including the 1834 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map, indicate the presence of a dwelling and two public houses in the vicinity. The 1858 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map depicts the building in its present form, suggesting a mid-19th century date, although a survey card suggests it existed before 1834. The original house had harled walls and a slated roof, with two windows on each floor. The windows were triple-paned sashes, with an unusual two-paned wide centre section. A felted lean-to porch detracted from the building's appearance, and the chimneys were constructed of brick, indicating two separate structures.
