Description
Small raised graveyard set back on W side of Grinan Lough Road and bounded by dry stone rubble wall, on the E side of which is a recess containing three stone steps leading up into the graveyard proper. This is raised level with the wall head and contains many small roughly dressed memorial stones, all facing E. To centre, in a line running N-S and facing E, are three large dressed stone crosses each on a stone base. That to centre is 19thC; its rear (W) face is inscribed (mostly illegible) with text which includes “Patrick Mooney” and the date 1883. The N cross has no text but each angle at its crossing is carved into a recessed arc. The S cross is very worn. Inscribed on W side is “P. McM” and 1842. Its base is incised with swirling (Celtic) ornamentation.
