Description

A raised, roughly circular graveyard on E side of Drumlough Road. Accessed by two granite steps flanked by lined cement-rendered square pillars supporting a broad cast-iron gate with ball finials. Graveyard contains many early 18thC roughly dressed granite gravestones and smaller (possibly earlier) undressed memorial stones. Many are etched with crosses, their inscriptions are partially eroded. Most of these memorials are organised in a linear fashion and all face E (with their plain backs to road). There are some 19thC memorials in slate and granite, one of which is enclosed by railings. On S side is the remains of a ruinous segmental vault (earth embankments gone and end walls gone) which may have been a burial vault or a grotto.
