The Gates and Gate Piers, about 45 metres South East of Coombe Hill House

GV II

Gateway. Early C19. Doulting stone piers; wrot iron gates. Piers about 600 mm square on base: high moulded plinth; ashlar stalk with incised decoration to all 4 sides; deep flat caps with end moulding fitted with Adar style urns with lids. Gates to match, with barbed arrowheads to rails, sweeps and corner urn finials. Good approach to important house.
