Description
The Old Coach House is a house located in a row, dated 1780. It is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, with Douting stone dressings. The roof is made of plain clay tiles over stone slate base courses, featuring coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. The building has three storeys and three bays.
The first bay includes a two-storey angled bay window with 12-pane sash windows. To the right is a six-panel door set in a heavy frame, topped with a flat timber hood supported by brackets. Bays two and three have wide flat archways leading into St Davids Place, which feature a chamfered timber beam and former gateposts. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows in bays two and three, and above the door at first floor level is a plaque that reads: "F/HA/1780." The second floor has 9-pane sash windows. The interior has not been seen.
