Description
35 and 37 High Street is a house in a row, possibly dating from the early 18th century, and has been modified. It is constructed from Ham stone that has been cut and squared, with ashlar dressings, and features a Welsh slate roof supported by abutments and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are hollow-chamfered mullioned types in chamfered recesses with labels, all of which are three-light. The window in the lower bay 2 is off-centre, and to the left is a cambered-arched doorway in a chamfered rectangular recess, also under a separate label. The gables are coped with gabletted finials above all first-floor windows. There is a straight joint between the very wide bay 1 and bay 2, and bays 2 and 3 show signs of raised eaves levels between the gables. The interior has not been seen.
