Description
No. 45 High Street is a house built in 1674, part of a row of buildings. It is constructed from Ham stone ashlar and has a Welsh slate roof, featuring a cross-roof design that runs along the main street. The front gable is coped, and there is no visible chimney stack. The house has two storeys and consists of a single bay. Notable features include a two-storey angled bay window with one large and three smaller windows, all having ovolo-mould mullions set in wave-mould recesses. There are string courses at the heads of both windows. The gable is supported by shaped corbel stones and topped with an obelisk finial. A date plaque that once read '1674' is now illegible and is set beneath its own stepped string mould. The entrance is located on the west side. The interior has not been seen.
