House Immediately West Of North East Corner Premises

This house, located in a row and dating from the 18th century, is situated immediately west of the northeast corner premises in Cheapside, Langport. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is a Welsh slate Mansard style, featuring stepped coped gables and a rear chimney stack.

The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are sash types, set in architraved surrounds with segmental arched heads. The lower windows have six panes, while the upper ones have twelve panes. The central entrance features a six-panel door with glazed toplights, also in an architraved surround, topped by a pedimented hood supported by console brackets. There is a footscraper to the right of the door. The interior has not been seen.
