Description

The building known as the Offices of F.L. Hunt and Sons is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings, and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with no visible chimney stacks.

The building is three storeys high and has five bays. It includes a plinth, rusticated quoins, and a moulded eaves course. The sash windows are set in architraved surrounds, with the two lower floors featuring small keystones and 12-pane sashes, although some glazing bars have been removed on the ground floor. The first-floor windows have thick glazing bars, with some panes made of crown glass. The second floor has 6-pane sash windows, some of which have been replaced by casement windows.

The central entrance consists of a six-flush panel door in a plain opening, topped with a dovetailed stone lintel and a rectangular fanlight. There is a similar door without a fanlight located under a concrete lintel at bay five. The interior has not been seen.
