Description
This is an early 19th-century house, later used as offices, with alterations made in the later 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick with stone detailing and has a slate roof. The building is a double-depth block with a rear wing to the left. The front elevation is of four bays and features dressed stone, an offset plinth, and a crowning cornice with close-set modillions and blocking course. The ground floor entrance doorway is located in the second bay from the left, featuring a semicircular fanlight, a panelled door recessed within a semicircular arched opening framed by a plain stone architrave. To the left of the doorway is a sash window with 3x4 panes of glazing, and to the right are two plain, later sash windows. The first floor has four sash windows with 3x4 panes of glazing, and the second floor has four shorter sashes with 3x2 panes of glazing. All the sashes are within openings with flat-arched heads of five raised-and-stepped voussoirs, and have projecting stone sills. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
