Description
Post Office House is a house located at the corner of a row in Henstridge, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with plain gables and brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and five bays. It includes 2-light leaded casement windows with iron framed opening lights set under exposed timber lintels. There is a projecting flat-roofed porch at bay 3, which has a part-glazed inner door with a heavy frame. The first two bays have slightly smaller windows and may have been built differently. The northeast corner of the house is chamfered at the lower level. The interior has not been seen. Post Office House occupies a prominent position in the center of the village.
