Description

The Pond House is a detached cottage, likely built in the 18th century. It features local stone coursed rubble, with the main block roughcast and colourwashed. The roof is made of Welsh slate with plain gables, and there are plain clay tiles on the rear. The building has stone and brick chimney stacks and is designed in a 'U'-plan. The east front has two storeys and consists of two bays. It includes horizontal bar steel casement windows, with the upper pair set in segmental arched openings. The central door is of a 20th-century design and is sheltered by a timber porch hood with an open dentilled pediment supported by elaborate brackets. The interior has not been seen, but a previous listing mentions inglenook fireplaces.
