Description

Cross House is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of local stone coursed rubble and features a hipped plain clay tile roof with brick chimney stacks on stone bases. The house has two storeys and consists of six bays. The 12-pane sash windows are set flush with the front wall and have gauged brick flat-headed openings with keystones. There is an early 20th-century door located in the fourth bay, framed by a Regency style surround with a moulded flat timber hood supported by simple brackets. There are various outbuildings at the rear. The interior has not been seen. Cross House occupies a prominent position in the center of the village.
