Description

Glebe Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located in Henstridge, off Church Street. The building is constructed of local stone rubble laid in courses, with a Welsh slate roof featuring bargeboarded gables and brick end chimney stacks. It is two stories high and has three bays. The windows are leaded casements set in rectangular openings with exposed timber lintols. A central boarded door is set within a heavy frame and sheltered by a slated lean-to porch supported on slender cast iron columns. The interior appears to have undergone some partitioning alterations, but retains an early boxed-in staircase.
