Description

Castle Close Cottage is a cottage built in the late 18th century and earlier. It is constructed from rubblestone with gritstone dressings and features a stone and Welsh slate roof, along with a stone gable end stack. The cottage has two storeys, and the north elevation includes a central doorway with a stone surround and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are two 2-light square section flush mullion windows, with two similar windows located above. Inside, two pairs of raised crucks are partly visible, and the thickness of the walls suggests an earlier construction date.
