Description
Cryer House is a house dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and has a cement render finish. The roof is made of stone slate and features brick and stone ridge and gable end stacks. The gables are stone coped with moulded kneelers. The house is two storeys high.
On the east elevation, there are twin gables with a doorway that has a stone surround and a panelled door, flanked on each side by glazing bar sash windows. Above, there are two similar windows. A rainwater head on the building is inscribed with "RHH" and dated 1833. The south elevation consists of four bays with glazing bar sashes and includes a late 19th-century canted porch bay.
