SK 18 SW PARISH OF CASTLETON CASTLE STREET 6/28 (West Side) Cryer House GV II

House. C17 and early C19. Rubble stone, cement rendered. Stone slate roofs with brick and stone ridge and gable end stacks. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Two storeys. East elevation, twin gabled with doorway with stone surround and panelled door, flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes. Two similar windows above. Rainwater head inscribed RHH and dated 1833. South elevation of four bays with glazing bar sashes and a late C19 canted porch bay.
