Description
The George is a public house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from rendered limestone with gritstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with stone coped gables and brick gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and the east elevation consists of three bays. The central doorway has a stone surround and a flat bracketed hood, with a panelled door flanked by large 2-light square section flush mullion windows that have plain sashes. Above, there are three glazing bar sashes set in stone surrounds. The building is listed for its group value only.
