Description
The Robin Hood Inn is a public house built in the late 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed coal measures sandstone and features quoins, plain gables, and gable stacks. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and has stone slates at the eaves.
The south elevation of the building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The central doorway has a massive painted stone surround and a 20th-century plank door. The flanking bays contain 19th-century glazing bar sash windows set in painted flush stone frames, with the first-floor windows being smaller than those on the ground floor. Above the doorway, there is a narrow single light opening. At the rear, there is a gabled range.
