Description

The former stables at Castleton Hall, dating from the early 19th century, have been converted into a residential property. They are constructed of rubble limestone, mostly rendered, with gritstone dressings. The building features stone slate roofs, including one gable that is stone coped and has moulded kneelers.

The south elevation showcases a carriage arch made of stone voussoirs and quoins, along with plank doors. To the left of the arch is a doorway with stone jambs and a lintel, followed by a blocked carriage arch that includes rusticated quoins and voussoirs, with a 20th-century window inserted. On the first floor, there are two square windows, each with stone jambs, lintels, and sills.
