Description
Fold Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located on Chesterfield Road in the parish of Beeley. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof topped with three brick ridge stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has a south elevation that consists of four bays.
The main entrance is an axial doorway with stone jambs and a lintel, leading to a plank door. To the left of the doorway, there is a two-light square section flush mullion window, followed by a similar single light window and another doorway that is topped with a 19th-century stone lintel. On the right side, there are two additional two-light square section flush mullion windows. The upper storey features three similar windows and a single light window above the doorway. There are also additions to the west and east of the cottage, but these are not considered of special interest.
