Description
Pynot Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a stone slate roof with coped gables and moulded kneelers. The building has an ashlar gable stack and one ridge stack. It is two storeys high, with the north elevation consisting of three bays. The two-storey section has two casement windows on the ground floor, each with stone surrounds. In the center, there is a 2-light staircase window with a square section flush mullion and surround, along with two similar 2-light windows above. To the east, there is a single-storey wing that includes a doorway with a stone surround and a parapet above, topped with a shallow bracketed hood.
