9/137 Stocker's House (formerly listed as part of Medwyn), with front boundary wall and railings. 17.4.59

House in row. C18 or earlier. Local lias stone cut and squared; Welsh slate roof over stone slate base courses, between abutments; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Sash windows of 12-panes, paired to outer bays above, with upper and lower bay 3 windows having stone hoods, apparently earlier labels trimmed; C20 door coupled with lower bay 3 window; to bay 2 large double angled bay window with small pane casements and lead flat roof. Interior not seen, but VCH speaks of later addition to rear incorporating parlour and staircase wing of an earlier house. Attached to front of house, stone wall about 750mm high with Ham stone copings and gabletted capped piers, with cast iron railings having quatrefoil motif, and matching gate, adding to setting of house. Formerly one house with Medwyn House (qv) attached to north (VCR Volume III, 1974).
