Description

The Coach House, located 30 metres south of Barren Down House, is a building dating from around 1800. It is constructed from limestone rubble with freestone detailing and features a modern mono-pitch pantile roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is of high-quality construction. The elevation facing Lower Lane includes a blocked architrave door opening with a triple keystone and irregular fenestration, with most openings now blocked. There are three circular pitching eyes on the first floor, which have late 20th-century glazing. The building also has landscape value along Lower Lane.
