Description
Rock Cottage and Woodlands are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th century. They are constructed from Doulting rubble, featuring tile and thatch roofs, and have restored rubble stacks. The buildings are designed in a picturesque "L"-plan. Rock Cottage is two stories high with three bays, showcasing three-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows with stopped labels on the ground floor, and casement windows above. Woodlands is also two stories with three bays, featuring two and three-light casements, and has two openings on the first floor under eyebrows. Both cottages have central door openings with plank doors, while Woodlands includes a corrugated iron hood over its entrance.
