Description

Numbers 1 and 2 Hill Farm Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of rubble with freestone dressings, featuring coped verges and brick stacks, and have roofs covered with triple-Roman tiles. The cottages are two storeys high and have a symmetrical facade with two bays, one bay, and two bays. The windows include 2 and 3-light moulded stone-mullioned designs, and there is an oval window on the first floor set in a freestone surround with leaded lights. A continuous string course runs beneath the ground floor windows. There are also two large 20th-century porches with half-glazed doors.
