Description

This is a late 16th-century farmhouse that has been divided into two dwellings. It has undergone later alterations. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed and squared rubble, with a triple-Roman tiled roof featuring coped verges and ball finials. Brick stacks are also present. The building has a U-shaped frontage. It is two storeys high and originally had five bays, with a central three-bay section. The central three bays contain three-light stone-mullioned windows on the first floor, and two 20th-century three-light metal casements on the ground floor. To the right of the central part is a wing with two- and three-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows, likely dating to the 19th century, beneath a front-facing gable with a breather in the gable face. The inner face of this wing has another similar window. A similar wing to the left features three- and four-light reconstituted stone-mullioned windows. A central door opening is framed by a painted stop-moulded architrave.
