Description

Mill Farmhouse is a C17 window, though the majority of the structure dates to the 18th century, with a 19th-century alteration. It was originally a mill and miller's house, now a farmhouse. The building is constructed of rubble, with triple-Roman and plain tiled roofs, brick stacks, and coped verges. It has an L-shaped plan. The two-storey, 3-bay section on the left has sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, a similar sash window and a 3-light stone-mullioned window on the ground floor, and three door openings, leading to panelled and plank doors, each protected by a pent roof. The bay to the right contained the mill itself and features a sash window, a casement, and an elevated plank door reached by a flight of stone steps. The interior contains C19 milling machinery, including stones, hoppers, and gear-wheels. A decayed mill wheel is said to remain at the rear of the building.
