Description
The Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse believed to date from the 16th or 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and features a double-Roman tiled roof that is hipped to the left, with a coped verge to the right supported by kneelers. The building has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high, comprising four bays. The windows are simple 2 and 3-light casements, each with a single horizontal glazing bar and wooden lintels. There is a notable 4-light stone-mullioned window on the right side of the ground floor. The door opening is nearly central and is framed by a moulded architrave with a depressed arch head, featuring a studded plank door fitted with iron strap hinges.
