Description

Townfield Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of rubble stone and feature a plain tile roof with end stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have a double fronted design. The windows are hollow-moulded recessed mullions, with two-light windows above and three-light windows below, both of which have hoodmoulds and relieving arches. The central door is set within an earlier 19th-century gable stone porch that has a depressed arched entry. There is a similar porch on the east end wall.
