Description
New Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from roughcast rubble stone with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof. The building features end stacks and is 2½ storeys tall with an attic, presenting a double-fronted facade. It has ovolo-moulded mullion windows, with two-light windows above and three-light windows below, both adorned with hoodmoulds. The central entrance is set within a broad enclosed porch, dating from around 1830 to 1840, which has a ball finial and a segment-headed doorway. There are two hipped dormers on the roof. The north end of the farmhouse includes an attic and first-floor windows that mirror the two-light design with hoodmoulds, along with a similar two-light window on the north end of a rear added lean-to. There is also a southeast rear wing.
