Description
This pair of almshouses dates from the 17th century and was restored in the 20th century. They are constructed from Doulting rubble with dressed quoins and feature a hipped tile roof adorned with a decorated ridge course, along with restored brick stacks. The building is rectangular, two stories high, and has ten bays. It includes two-light reserved chamfer stone mullioned windows with iron frames and leaded lights, some of which have 18th-century latches and quadrants. The door openings in the third and eighth bays are framed by edge roll moulded stone surrounds with stopped labels and have plank doors. There is a blank stone plaque located in the center of the first floor.
