Description

The Island is a cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed from Doulting rubble with a thatched roof and two rubble stacks. The building has a rectangular shape and a picturesque appearance, featuring one storey and an attic with three bays and an irregular facade. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there is a door opening that is nearly central, leading into a 20th-century gabled and glazed porch, which has a 19th-century glazed inner door. At the rear, there is a single-storey pent roofed outshut that is set at right angles. The cottage is situated in an elevated position and holds landscape value.
