Description
Rock Cottages are two cottages dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. They are built from Doulting rubble and feature thatched roofs with brick stacks. The cottages have an "L"-shaped plan and present a picturesque appearance. They are two stories tall and have a layout of one bay on the left and three bays on the right. The left side has casement windows in the gabled wing, while the remaining openings consist of two and three-light stone mullioned windows. The ground floor windows have been restored, and the first-floor windows are ovolo moulded. There are three door openings with plank doors; the left door has a flat wooden hood supported by cast iron brackets. The cottages are situated in an elevated position, contributing to their landscape value.
