Description
This house, located immediately west of Cary Pet Stores, dates from the late 18th century and is part of a row of buildings. It is constructed from random Cary stone and is colourwashed, featuring a plain clay tile roof with coped gables and brick chimney stacks at either end. The house has two storeys and three bays. The upper storey has sash windows with 12 panes, while the lower storey features pairs of 4-pane windows in the outer bays. The central bay contains a part-glazed 20th-century door set in an old frame, with a small casement window to the left. All ground floor openings have timber lintels. The interior has not been seen. This house is included in the listing primarily for its group value and contribution to the streetscape in the Market Place.
