Description

Cary Pet Supplies and Hair Affair is a shop and house that was formerly an inn, dating from the early 19th century. It is built from local stone, which is rendered and colourwashed on the front elevation, and features a very shallow pitched Welsh slate roof between coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The first and second bays have angled bay windows topped with lead flat roofs, with plain sashes below and 8 over 12 double 12 over 8 panes above. The third bay has a 12-pane sash window above, while the fourth bay has a 16-pane sash window above. In the lower third bay, there is a part-glazed door set in a heavy frame, which is sheltered by a flat timber hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. The lower fourth bay features a 20th-century fully glazed door and a 16-pane sash window. The interiors have not been seen.
