Description
The Haye family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, three meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Aldhelm and St Eadburgha. It dates from the late 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a flat-topped thick slab with a cyma recta moulded cornice and plinth. The north and south sides are divided into two arcades, each with keystones and imposts, while the east and west ends have single arcades. The west end includes an inscription dedicated to the wife of John Knight, who died in 1696.
