Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about one metre west of the north transept of the Church of St Aldhelm and St Eadburgha. It dates from the late 17th century and may have a later top. The tomb is made of Ham stone and features a flat top, which suggests it could be the base of another chest tomb, as the moulding resembles that typically found on a plinth. It has a moulded plinth, fluted end pilasters, and raised and fielded panels. The north and west faces are inscribed, with the date 1694 visible on the west face.
