Description
Old Manor House is a detached house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of local stone, rendered with ashlar lining and color washed, and features a Welsh slate roof with high coped gables that suggest it may have originally had a thatched roof, along with an ornamental terra-cotta ridge and brick end chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and four bays, with the first bay appearing to be a later addition. The first bay contains 2-light small-pane casement windows, while the other bays have 16-pane sash windows in plain openings. In the lower part of bay three, there is a 6-panel door set in a recess, which has a Regency style surround with pilasters and overmoulding, topped with a flat hoodmould. Attached to the west gable is a lean-to outbuilding, also rendered, which has a curved north-east corner. The west gable is constructed of brick laid in English garden wall bond, with ashlar quoins. The interior has not been seen.
