1/4 Old Manor House

GV II

Detached house. Early C18. Local stone, rendered with ashlar lining and colour washed; Welsh slate roof between high coped gables suggesting former thatch, with ornamental terra-cotta ridge; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 4 bays, of which bay 1 appears to be a later addition. Bay 1 has 2-light small-pane casement windows; remaining bays have 16-pane sash windows in plain openings; to lower bay 3 a 6-panel door in recess with Regency style surround having pilasters and overmoulding with flat hoodmould. Attached to west gable a lean-to outbuilding, also rendered, with curved north-east corner. West gable in brick laid to English garden wall bond with ashlar quoins. Interior not seen.
