Description
Glyncote is a detached house dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of brick, which is colourwashed on the front elevation, and features Ham stone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has coped gables, with two brick chimney stacks and one stone slab chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and has four bays. The first bay is from the 19th century, featuring casement windows with small panes on both levels, and a 20th-century lean-to with a translucent sheet roof. The remaining bays are from the 18th century and include a plinth, rusticated quoins, and an eaves course. The windows are sash types set in stone architraves, with the outer bays having a composite of 4+12+4 panes and the upper bay 3 having 16 panes. The lower bay 3 features a six-panel door with a toplight in an architrave. Across the entire frontage, there is a 19th-century verandah with a glazed lean-to roof and timber lattice supports. The interior has not been seen.
