Description
Northover Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local grey lias stone, with Ham stone dressings around the openings. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, featuring clay ridge tiles, and there is a shared central tall brick chimney stack. The cottage has two storeys and four bays.
On the upper floor, there are two-light small-pane casements with toplights set in segmental arched openings. On the ground floor, to the right of the first bay, there is a 2-light small-pane casement with a lower flat head, while bays two, three, and four match the first floor. To the right of the second bay, there is a segmental arched doorway with a studded boarded door and a glazed panel. Projecting from the first bay is a single-storey, single-bay wing that matches the main structure, complete with a brick chimney stack, a matching window in the gable end, and a door in a brick surround on the southeast side, along with an adjacent casement. The interior has not been seen.
