Description

Northover Lodge is a semi-detached cottage located on Roman Road in Northover, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local grey lias stone, with Ham stone dressings around the openings. The cottage features a hipped Welsh slate roof with clay ridge tiles and a shared central tall brick chimney stack.

The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays. On the upper level, there are 2-light small pane casements with toplights set in segmental arched openings, and all but the fourth bay have added boarded shutters. The lower level has matching windows in bays one and two, while bay four contains a smaller flat-headed casement. In bay three, there are a pair of studded boarded doors in a segmental arched opening.

Projecting from bay four is a single-storey, single-bay extension that matches the main structure, featuring a ball finial on the gable and a further lean-to against it. There is a brick surround to the doorway on the north-west side. The interior has not been seen.
